The Premiere NeuroRestorative Mental Health Practice

The Future of Mental Health is Integrative

Humans are designed to flourish—body, mind, and spirit.

At Integrative Psychiatry Centers (IPC), we go beyond symptom control. Our mission is to restore the brain and nervous system to their natural rhythm of healing—what we call neurorestoration.

Our flagship location, Ohio Integrative Psychiatry, offers compassionate, evidence-based care for teens and adults through personalized assessment, diagnosis, and treatment designed for real recovery—free from insurance limitations.

Discover what's possible for your healing.

Care That Looks Deeper

Because You're Meant to Flourish—Not Just Cope

Most mental health care stops at a prescription. We don't.

We look into the biology of inflammation, the rhythm of your nervous system, the nourishment of your brain, and the relationships that shape your healing.

Because healing isn't about "getting back to baseline."

It's about designing who you are becoming.

Relationships and Communication

Clarity. Energy. Connection.

Imagine waking up grounded, focused, and able to handle life with ease. Our patients often describe a sense of coming home to themselves—mentally clear, emotionally steady, and physically energized.

Meet Laurel Myers Hurst, PMHNP-BC

"Our bodies are more than vehicles for our minds. We are created body, mind, and soul—designed to flourish."

Laurel Myers Hurst is an ethnomusicologist turned integrative psychiatric nurse practitioner who bridges the worlds of musical rhythm, neuroscience, and compassionate mental healthcare.

She pioneered Shared Medical Appointments and groove-based therapy in Ohio's substance use treatment centers, bringing connection and neuroplasticity into modern psychiatry.

Laurel earned her nursing degree from The Ohio State University. Her innovations have been recognized by the GRAMMY Foundation, Ohio Arts Council, Albert Schweitzer Foundation, and Morgan Foundation.

Hurst is the author of the international bestseller, Groove Therapy: Re-engaging the Transformative Power of Rhythm in Communication and Relationships, a certified consultant in Blomberg Rhythmic Movement Training, and advanced trained in Family Systems Trauma Therapy.

Her mission is simple yet revolutionary:

Walk with each patient toward neurorestoration—a state of emotional, physical, and relational flourishing.

Your Brain Can Heal. We Help It Remember How.

You deserve more than a ten-minute medication check.

At IPC, we use biomarker testing, genomic analysis, and nervous system retraining to uncover the "why" behind your symptoms.

Through this integrative lens, healing becomes data-driven, personalized, and sustainable.

Healing That Works With—Not Against—Your Brain

Become Our Patient

Psychiatric care that finds answers.

Most psychiatric care rushes to prescribe. We start by understanding.

That's why every patient begins with a comprehensive assessment package—the foundation for everything that follows.

From there, we design your care using the integrative approaches your body needs: reducing inflammation, nutritional optimization, primitive reflex work, GROOVE SESSIONS®, Family Systems Trauma Therapy and support, genomic testing, medication when appropriate, and more.

This isn't one-size-fits-all treatment. It's personalized neurorestoration—built on accurate diagnosis and tailored to you,

Who we help:

  • Ages 12+, including complex and treatment-resistant cases

  • Patients ready to understand root causes, not just manage symptoms

  • Families navigating relational struggles and neurological or developmental challenges

Private pay model | Assessment required | Real answers, real healing

Mind-Body

Retrain the primitive reflexes that keep your nervous system stuck in fight-or-flight, improving sleep, focus, and emotional balance.

Advanced Methods

Comprehensive assessment for inflammation, vital nutrition, Omega 3s, hormones and gut microbiome.

Rhythm

Experience the healing power of drumming and bilateral movement to regulate your nervous system and boost mood, focus, and connection.

Connection

Enjoying your closest friends and family through change, sorrow, disappointment, and rejoicing brings a calm and peace to all we do.
