👉 For every new patient, care begins with a Comprehensive Assessment package.
If standard psychiatric care hasn't worked—or if you know you need something deeper than symptom management—you're in the right place. Our integrative approach looks for root causes: the biology, stress, trauma, and nervous system patterns driving your symptoms.
Every patient begins with a thorough assessment, because real healing requires real understanding first.

If you've been searching for a provider who actually listens, I'm here—and I've built a practice designed to give you the time and care you deserve.
Mental health symptoms don’t happen in a vacuum—they are shaped by biology, development, stress, trauma, and the nervous system. I believe patients deserve time, careful listening, and accurate diagnosis before long-term treatment decisions are made. This practice was built to offer that level of care—with intention, integrity, and respect for the whole person.
Choosing psychiatric care is a big decision. At Ohio Integrative Psychiatry, we believe patients deserve care that is thoughtful, thorough, and focused on real healing—not rushed visits or guesswork.

Most psychiatric practices focus on controlling symptoms as quickly as possible leading to 15-minute visits, quick diagnoses, and multiple medication trials.
We take a different path.
As an integrative psychiatry practice, we look for why you're struggling—not just what you're experiencing. That means understanding:
Your complete story and health history
Your nervous system, biology, and stress response
Developmental patterns, relationships, and life experiences that shape mental health
Medication may be part of the care, but it is never the whole story.
This model allows us to work with the brain and body, not against them.

Ohio Integrative Psychiatry is a private-pay practice.
We don't accept insurance so that care can be guided by clinical wisdom—not insurance limits. This allows for longer visits, detailed assessment, and treatment plans designed for lasting improvement rather than trial-and-error care.
Payment is due at time of service. Documentation is available for patients who wish to seek out-of-network reimbursement.
This model protects the quality of your care—and ensures you're getting a clinician's full attention, not just what an insurance company allows.
All new patients begin with a required assessment package.
Assessment Structure:
Adults (18+): Two in-depth visits
Ages 12–17: Three visits (at least one with parent/guardian)
During these appointments, we take time to:
Understand your full story
Clarify diagnosis
Review medical, psychiatric, and family history
Explore biological and nervous system contributors to symptoms
Your care begins during the assessment itself. Many patients feel relief simply from being seen, heard, and understood before long-term decisions are made.
This step is not optional–it is how we avoid the trial-and-error approach that's failed so many people
After the assessment visits, we thoughtfully integrate all information gathered.
What You'll Gain
Your assessment provides real value and clarity:
A thorough evaluation that looks beyond standard diagnostic frameworks
Deep clinical insights into what may be driving your symptoms
A personalized roadmap for healing—whether with us or another carefully selected resource
Our commitment is finding the path that works for you. For most patients, especially those with complex or longstanding challenges, that path leads right here.
Once assessment is complete and you are accepted into care, you'll have access to a range of evidence-based and integrative services🔗—tailored to what your brain and nervous system actually need.
The following services are available to established patients.

We order targeted lab work when it can unlock answers—then explain results in plain language, not medical jargon. Finally, you'll understand what's happening in your body and why certain treatments make sense for you. This turns confusing symptoms into a clear, actionable roadmap for healing.

Advanced genetic testing from Tempus® nP GPx reveals exactly how your body processes psychiatric medications—ending the frustrating cycle of "let's try this and see what happens." We'll know which medications match your unique biology, which ones to avoid, and optimal dosing for your genetic makeup. Finally, medication decisions are based on science, not guesswork. Patients often describe this as the missing piece that explains years of confusing medication responses—and the key to finding what actually works.

When medication is right for you, we prescribe thoughtfully—based on accurate diagnosis, not trial-and-error.
Ongoing monitoring ensures safety and effectiveness, with adjustments made as your needs change. No more wondering if you're on the right medication or the right dose. You'll finally have clarity and confidence in your treatment.
Additionally, we can recommend science-backed botanical (plant/herbal) medications that may offer effective symptom relief with fewer adverse side effects than synthetic pharmaceuticals. If you are looking for a safe way to withdraw from psych meds (deprescribing), we can also help.

Some maintenance care happens in therapeutic group appointments where rhythm and drumming are used as clinical tools.
Shared rhythm—GROOVE THERAPY™—helps your nervous system feel safe and uplifted.
You receive medical care and community connection—leaving each session feeling lighter, more alive, and genuinely supported. Many patients describe this as the most transformative part of their healing journey. 🔗Schedule through the established patient portal.

Primitive reflexes influence how the nervous system responds to stress, movement, and emotion. When these reflexes remain active beyond early development, they can contribute to ongoing dysregulation.
These visits focus on helping the nervous system return to its intended tone while integrating medical care and medication management. Groups for youth, adult, and elder patients help your brain and body coordinate the way they're meant to, improving focus, emotional regulation, pain management, coordination and your ability to feel calm in your own skin. 🔗Schedule through the established patient portal.

When a child's or teen's behavior controls your household—constant conflict, explosions, walking on eggshells—it's natural to think they need fixing. But behavior is communication, and what looks like defiance is often a dysregulated nervous system responding to stress and unresolved pain.
This work helps families understand what's happening beneath the surface. We address the underlying struggles affecting everyone—not to assign blame or shame, but to create real change. Parents often discover they're not failing; the family system needs support. Young people finally feel understood, not labeled "the problem." 🔗Schedule through the established patient portal.
You'll leave with a rehearsed game plan, insight, and hope that home can feel peaceful and joyful again—for everyone.

In this individualized assessment, we identify underdeveloped or active primitive reflexes that may be quietly affecting your focus, coordination, anxiety, or emotional regulation. These reflexes can persist or reactivate due to developmental factors, environmental exposures, toxins, infections, injury, illness, or neurological conditions. You'll receive a personalized treatment plan that addresses these patterns at their source. Many patients feel relief knowing there's a tangible reason for struggles they've had their whole lives—and a clear path to improvement. 🔗Schedule through the established patient portal.

One-to-one appointments for when you need focused attention—whether you're navigating a difficult transition, adjusting treatment, or working through complex concerns. These visits give you dedicated time and space to be heard, understood, and supported exactly where you are. You're never just a number in a packed schedule. 🔗Schedule through the established patient portal.
